“… what happens when a person is touched by the light of the resurrection, and thus comes into contact with Life itself, with Truth and Love? …Speech is no longer adequate. He has to sing.”
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

Parish Music

The Holy Family music ministry offers a variety of ways for parishioners to fully respond to the Lord’s sacrificial Love poured out for us during the Mass. Our choirs are appreciated both inside the parish, and outside within the wider community.

Do you play a musical instrument or like to sing? To discuss where you might be able to offer your gifts in our parish music ministry, contact Mrs. Barbara J. Lathan, Director of the Gospel Choir

The Gospel Choir

Since 1984, the Holy Family Gospel Choir has glorified Jesus Christ in song by allowing Him to use the choir as a instrument, working through each choir member.  By providing inspiration to the congregation and enhancing the celebration of the mass, we will be a family of believers centered on Christ and committed to a lifetime of service and success.  All singers, ages 15 and over are welcome; no auditions are needed.  Our music ministry currently provides musical leadership on the first, second and third Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. Mass along with select Holy Days (e.g. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Holy Week and Christmas).

Pange Lingua

Sing, my tongue, the Savior's glory,
Of his Flesh the mystery sing;
Of the Blood, all price exceeding,
Shed by our immortal King,
Destined for the world's redemption,
From a noble womb to spring.

-St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)
